Tis the season for cold weather, good food, and yes, classic holiday films. One of my favorite classic holiday films is director Ernst Lubitsch's 1940 film "The shop around the corner", starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan. The movie centers around two employees (Stewart and Sullavan) who work at a leathergoods store in Budapest and have become rivals as they compete to be the top salesperson of the store. Their rivalry is eventually simmered when they send anonymous letters to each other and fall in love. If this plot sounds familiar then it should, because it is almost identical to the one in "You Got Mail, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. It's a great romantic comedy, one to snuggle up and watch with the one you love. Guys, if you want brownie points, here you go
