John Ford directed some of the best movies of the twentieth century. While he directed a variety of genres, westerns seemed to be his sweet spot. In 1962, Ford directed "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", a story about two friends coming together to end a terror in a small, western town. Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne, team up for the first time in their careers to take on the bully and infamous outlaw, Liberty Valance, played by Lee Marvin. It's a true good guy vs. bad guy film, but there is some humor thrown in the mix as well, as any John Ford film will have. One of my favorite westerns for sure. Two thumbs up.
