Preston Surges 1941's "The Lady Eve", is a witty, romantic comedy filled with laughs and slapstick fun. While Henry Fonda was already well known on the silver screen, the charming Barbara Stanwyck stole the show in this classic comedy. Stanwyck plays the role of a con woman who lures bachelors with her charm and a little sex appeal so that she and her father can rob them of their money in a game of cards. With Fonda insight, she does what she can to win his heart and his treasure. However, Stanwyck can't keep her eye on the prize and falls for the rich bachelor.
