If you ever saw Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara in a film together, you were definitely in for a treat. The two went together like steak and potatoes. Director Henry King's 1942 film "The Black Swan" is a film that displays the two actors on film chemistry incredibly well. Power takes on the role of Captain Jamie Waring, a former privateer who roams the Caribbean with his comrades Henry Morgan (Laird Cregar) and Tom Blue (Thomas Mitchell). After Spain and England make peace, Morgan decides to "reform" and accept the offer of Governor of Jamaica. However, some of Morgan's former colleagues don't take on his new role to kindly and start a civil war within their circle, especially notorious pirate Captain Billy Leech, played by George Sanders. Meanwhile, "Jamie Boy" as he's called catches the eye of Lady Margaret, played by O'Hara who is the daughter of former governor Lord Denby. The Lady plays hard to get but Jamie's patience pays off in the end as the two wed. It's a typical swashbuckler and some great one liner on top of that.
