Road To Morocco

Road To Morocco - 1942

Bob Hope was an American Legend. Whether it was making movies, performing standup comedy for the troops, or just dropping by to say hello, he could always put a smile on your face. For over a decade, he co-starred with Bing Crosby in their "Road" movies. These films placed the duo into some harsh environments and one of my favorite movies was "Road to Morocco". Bing plays the role of Jeff Peters who has the street smarts persona while Hope plays the part of Orville "Turkey" Jackson, who tries to talk his way out of trouble but usually gets busted. Together they make a great team of misfits. Road to Morocco pits our two heroes as stow away's on a freighter that eventually blows to kingdom come thanks to Turkey smoking in the powder room. They eventually are washed ashore to Morocco where new hope and troubles await them. The film has some dramatic scenes but it's a comedy to be sure. If you need a good laugh, I highly recommend it.
